Certified Pilates Instructor
Cherie is an energetic professional who has been dancing for 30+ years. She trained in Pilates with Diane Diefenderfer at the University of California, Irvine. Graduating with a B.A. in Dance, she continued her career professionally as a dancer, acrobat and aerialist performer. She has toured and worked nationally and internationally. Cherie received her comprehensive and mat certification in 2009 through the BASI program. In 2011, she added her certification for Pre/Post Natal Pilates. Utilizing Pilates has helped her aide in Physical Therapy offices around Orange County. She is excited teaching all ages from kids to the mature client. She uses her knowledge of the body, movement and flow to help clients achieve their fitness goals and encourage them to a healthier, happier, stronger, more flexible lifestyle that is Pilates.
Certified Pilates Instructor

Emily Kimbro is a professionally trained ballerina. She began dancing at the age of three and danced in Mission Viejo along with other renowned ballet companies. In the past, Emily has spent summers with Boston Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Emily is a college student studying Kinesiology and eventually plans to attend a Physical Therapy school. She began teaching dance at the age of 16 and enjoys teaching young dancers. In addition to teaching dance, loves to teach pilates. Receiving her Pilates Certification through the world renowned BASI program in 2015.

Pilates/Yoga Certified
Jennifer from a young age was an innate mover, by the age of 5 she was dancing and performing. Later she entered into the fitness arena. At her very first fitness competition she placed 1st Runner up at Ms. National Fitness. In 2003 she was introduced to Pilates. Being an avid mover, she continued on to receive her certification in Pilates through the world renowned- Body Arts and Science International (BASI), under the direction of Rael Isacowitz. The “breath to movement” concept found in Pilates and yoga intrigued her to further her knowledge in what is known as conscious breathing, also gain a certifications in Kunlun Nei Gung Tao Meditation, and become a yoga practitioner with Larry Payne Relax the Back. Her vast qualifications allows her to help guide others to release trauma, negative emotions, and blocks in the body to heal and bring positive self-awareness. She is the author of "Your Breath Heals" 6 Simple Tools for Stress Reduction and Managing Pain. She is the founder of "Awaken Your Inner Feline" Women's Empowerment through Finding your Authentic Voice with Passion and Purpose- As she guides others through breath work, movement, yoga, and meditation. She can be found teaching private sessions, classes and workshops in Pilates, breath work, and yoga at Align.
Certified Pilates Instructor
Kelly Piersant was raised in the U.K. and Australia, but now calls the U.S. home. A self-described free spirit, she grew up riding horses and spending all her free time outdoors in nature. Kelly spent the early years of her career in the beauty industry, working as a professional make-up artist, where her creativity and passion for making people look and feel their best was perfectly suited. In 2013 Kelly was introduced to Pilates, and immediately began seeing changes in her body and mind, including postural corrections, muscle lengthening and flexibility. An incredible increase in body awareness and mental and physical strength ensued. Kelly lives a holistic life and feels that regular mindful exercise, in addition to good nutrition play an important role in how we feel physically and physiologically. Kelly is a graduate of Body Arts and Science International, where she had the good fortunate to train closely with master instructor Rael Isacowitz. She is excited to continue this journey, and looks forward to using Pilates to help others achieve their own personal goals.
Certified Pilates Instructor
 Nicole took her first Pilates class in February 2014 and was immediately hooked. With a passion for health and fitness, she started to explore the idea of leaving her full-time Retail career to learn more about becoming a Pilates instructor, and less than a year later she began training and working towards her Certification from Body Arts and Sciences International (BASI) created by the international master trainer Rael Isacowitz.

Today Nicole is able to fulfill her passion by sharing her love of Pilates with her friends and clients as an Apprentice instructor. Nicole's favorite thing about Pilates is the transformative effect that it has on the entire body, which is why her absolute favorite Pilates exercises are the Hundred and Plank variations: two great exercises that can be done anywhere. Her teaching style is simple and effective, giving her clients guidance while motivating them to discover their own strength and become empowered.

Certified Pilates and Yoga
Laura has spent the most enjoyable hours of her life moving..... dance, hike, bike, swim, climb or tumble! So, she became a teacher- of movement. Her dance background led to teaching kids classical ballet in her 20s and 30s. In 2001 she began practicing yoga and it led to teaching in 2005. Laura has studied multiple modalities of yoga including Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin and Viniyoga (yoga therapy) with master teachers Shiva Rae, Gary Kraftsow, Sarah Powers and Stuart Rice. In 2006 she studied the mat Pilates repertoire with Body Arts and Science International (BASI.) In 2012, she decided to continue her education in Pilates and began the comprehensive course to obtain certification on all the Pilates apparatus. Having completed the certification she looks forward to using all of her training and 10+ years of experience teaching yoga to assist clients achieve their health and fitness goals.
Pilates/GYROTONIC® certified/MA Dance Education
Amythyst Fritzler has been teaching Pilates since 2003. She was certified through Long Beach Dance Conditioning under the teachings of Marie Jośe-Bloom. Her first teaching position for two years was under a chiropractor, concentrating on Pilates and scoliosis. Since then she has worked under the direction of multiple Physical Therapists for pelvic floor, spine, and orthopedic conditions. In addition to her Pilates certification, Amythyst has taken specialty training in Pilates for pelvic floor conditioning and Breast Cancer survivors. Amythyst also became certified in GYROTONIC® (spring 2013). She is also a part-time professor of modern dance at Orange Coast College. She carries a Bachelor’s in Dance, and a Master’s of Arts in Dance Education both from California State University Long Beach. Her experience as a professional dancer, choreographer, professor, multiple discipline educator, gives her the experience of working with a diverse population. She is passionate, patient, and able to adjust to the needs of her clients at different stages of life and healing.
Certified Pilates Instructor
Diana completed her teacher training at the Pilates Center of Orange County under the guidance of Diane Diefenderfer. She has an extensive background in classical Pilates with an emphasis on the Ron Fletcher Method, and holds a B.A. in Dance from the University of California Irvine. Over her past 10 years of teaching she has enjoyed the influence of several styles of Pilates and embraces teaching a variety of methods tailored to her clients needs. She is thrilled to be joining the Align Team!
Certified Pilates Instructor/ AFAA/ Barworks/ TRX Suspension/ B.S. Nutrition
At a young age and through dance, Brigitte Garten knew she had passion for health and fitness. This passion guided her to achieve a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from San Diego State University. And When introduced to Pilates she fell instantly in love with the method. By 2001 she was Certified Pilates Instructor by three Pilates organizations, the world-renowned BASI (Body Arts and Science International), A Line Technique, and the PMA (Pilates Method Alliance). She also holds certifications through AFAA in Group Fitness, Barworks and TRX Suspension. One can find her currently instructing Pilates full time throughout the Orange County area. Her classes are energetic, fun, challenging and of course detailed orientated. She always considers herself a student of Pilates and constantly thriving to learn more. Her teaching is always evolving to bring her clients the most up to date and a worthwhile Pilates session. Outside of the studio you’ll find Brigitte hiking, biking, gardening, experimenting in the kitchen, plus spending quality time with family, friends and her adorable dog.
